Mr.Q is about to leave for the airport to pick up his sister and her husband, who are coming in from Alberta for a day trip to visit the Magpie. I put her down for an early nap and still have to finish making myself presentable and to hell with the breakfast dishes.

We did run the vacuum over most of the carpets last night, dug the dining room table out from under the piles of paper and little softy toys and ran the couch blankets through the wash.

The chronic revolving door of company may be a serious pain in the ass, but it is now my trigger for house cleaning. If they stop, so might the mopping...
