mid-week photo op

This painting hangs above the couch in my living room. It used to belong to my sister-in-law - until she passed away suddenly in May 2003 from a brain tumor.

My husband stayed on after the funeral for a few days, while I had to come home and back to work. He returned with this painting. Another by the same artist in blues and greens followed later and hangs in the Magpie's room.

While I absolutely love the paintings for themselves - the textures, the colours and the richness - it is equally inspiring to have these pieces that she had chosen now hanging in our house.
