same coast, a little further south

We have successfully arrived in San Francisco, got our rental car, made it to our hotel and hit the grocery store to stock our fridge. The Magpie was fairly well behaved for the hour that she was up during the flight and refuses any additional napping, despite only intermittent snoozing on the plane.

That's just fine: I have to go out tonight and it would work quite well if she went to bed a little early.
